Product Description

A member of the ginger family, green cardamom is known as the queen of spices in India. Known for its rich, intoxicating aroma and complex flavor, it is one of the world most ancient spices. The scent is minty and lemony with warm undertones. The pods of cardamom can only be harvested three years after planting. Cardamom pods are carefully picked by hand by farmers and then naturally dried in the sun. They are sorted and packed as soon as they have dried. The seeds and pods of cardamom can be chewed to improve digestion and freshen the breath. The green cardamom pods should be stored in a cool, dry place, sealed in a container.
